The Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying PTA members and considering their interest and qualifications to serve as elected officers on the Executive Board.  Elected officers serve for one year, with a term limit of two consecutive one-year terms in the same elected position.  The next PTA term of office begins at 5pm each year on the last day of the school year. 

Organizational structure and position responsibilities are subject to change year to year, based on the discretion of the nominee for President.  

The Nominating Committee convenes in February of each year.  Nominees for elected office will stand for election at the final PTA General Membership meeting of the year each May.  

The Nominating Committee also makes recommendations to the President, or nominee for President, for appointed positions ranging from Committee Chairs, who vote on the Board, to members of individual committees. Nominations will be considered for chairs and members of PTA committees, which are subject to change based on level of interest, impact to the association and strategic organizational structure.
