Strategic Planning

  • In order to ensure that Alachua County Public Schools is effectively providing the highest-quality education to students, the School Board has spent two years developing a strategic plan that will be used to guide the district's efforts in both the short and long term.

With input from hundreds of citizens gathered through focus groups, community forums and an online survey, the Board approved a set of broad goals and more specific outcomes covering academic achievement, college and career readiness, budgeting, personnel and other key issues.

The district, with input from the School Board, then developed a strategic plan that lays out the strategies to be implemented to meet those goals and objectives.  That plan was formally approved by the School Board during its business meeting of March 4, 2014.
