Katie Caples Invitational
Katie Caples Invitational, 9/21 
The Buchholz Boys Cross Country team swept the top three individual spots to lead the Bobcats to victory at the Katie Caples Invitational in Jacksonville on September 21.
The varsity squad placed first among 17 teams in the Elite Varsity division with 36 points. This success was led by Demetrie Meyers (15:29), Gino Palazzolo (15:35), and Samuel Freas (15:39), who swept first, second, and third, respectively. The first non-Buchholz runner to finish was 31 seconds behind the third-place finisher. 
This sweeping victory is just another notch for Buchholz, who has had a season of successes including 2nd-place finishes in every meet prior.

Buchholz Bobcat Classic
Buchholz Bobcat Classic 9/14 
The Buchholz Cross Country posted its third? consecutive second place finish, this time in is annual home meet, the Buchholz Bobcat Classic. Aiding this performance, Demetrie Meyers, junior, took first place overall in the Boys Varsity 5k race with a time of 16:33.3.
This success adds to an already bright season for the Bobcats. At their first meet, the Cecil Field Summer Classic, Varsity placed second out of 37 teams in the Elite division, and JV took first in the Varsity division. Boys Varsity claimed second place again at the Florida Horse Race Invitational on September 12th.

Cecil Field Classic
Cecil Field Classic 
The Buchholz High School Boys Cross Country team opened their season with a second place finish this weekend at the Cecil Field Summer Classic in Jacksonville, Florida. 
Buchholz competed in both the Elite and Varsity divisions in the 5000m race, each composed of 35+ teams. In the Elite division, The second place showing was on the strength of a notable 15th place finish from Demetrie Meyers, at a time of 15:57:00. 
The highlight of the meet, however, was the Buchholz Boy’s Junior Varsity Team taking home 1st place in the Varsity division. This is a first for the program. 
The team will hope to continue their success at their next meet, the Florida Horse Park Invite in Ocala, on September 7th.
