Scientific Medical Advisory Council

  • To promote the health and well-being of students, staff, families, and the broader community, the following medical professionals from the University of Florida are currently advising Alachua County Public Schools and the Alachua County Health Department on COVID-19 protocols for schools. Additional professionals may be included in the future in response to circumstances, newly identified needs, etc.

Epidemic/Pandemic Response Team

  • In keeping with School Board Policy 8420.01, Epidemics and Pandemics, the district has established an Epidemic/Pandemic Response Team to help the district address the COVID-19 pandemic. The Response Team includes community health professionals: district administrative staff; teacher, student, parent, employee and principal representatives; and other community representatives. Response Team meetings will be open to the public via YouTube.

    Agendas, minutes and videos of the Response Team's meetings will be posted on this site, as well as presentations and other documents shared during the meetings.  A link to School Board Policy 8420.01 can also be found on this site.
