ESSER Relief Funds
-
Alachua County Public Schools is receiving federal stimulus dollars to help offset unexpected costs caused by the pandemic. The federal dollars are provided by the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) fund. ESSER is distributed as three separate programs, ESSER I, ESSER II, and ESSER III.
ACPS expects to receive a total of $88.9 million through ESSER II and ESSER III to address pandemic-related needs. ESSER provides resources for:
- Critical one-time investments
- Time-limited programming to respond to the pandemic
- Innovation that can redefine student learning, acceleration, and development
Parents, district employees, students, and community members were urged to complete this survey to help the district determine what to prioritize with the potential ESSER funds. See the results of the ARP ESSER Community Survey here.
