A Message From the Superintendent
-
All of us with Alachua County Public Schools are committed to providing all students with a high-quality education. Families are a vital part of that effort.
Our 2024-25 Parent Guide is intended to provide parents and guardians with basic but important information about the district, our schools and their child’s education in one, easy-to-navigate location. Here you will find information about a wide range of topics--from enrollment to academic standards to special services available to students and their families and much, much more. The Guide also offers links to more detailed information available elsewhere on the district’s website.
You’ll also find tips on how to support your child’s education, how to communicate with your child’s teachers and school. We’ve also provided a checklist provided by the Florida Department of Education with additional suggestions.
If you have questions that are not addressed in the Parent Guide or elsewhere on the website, feel free to reach out to your child’s school or call the Public Information Office at (352) 955-7545.
We look forward to serving your child this year!
Shane Andrew, Superintendent
Alachua County Public Schools
