School Counseling Services
A comprehensive school counseling program is based on the ASCA (American School Counseling Association) model. Individual, small group, and classroom guidance is implemented. The school counselor also coordinates care with many outside agencies who are working with the students at Sidney Lanier.
School Counselors have knowledge and expertise in mental health, child development, and addressing student needs. They are committed to ensuring the success of all students and focus on three major areas of development: personal, social, career and academic. Social/emotional and mental health needs of all students are a priority.
