Westwood Middle School Cambridge Program
-
As a Cambridge International Center, Westwood Middle School supplements the middle school Florida Standards with the Cambridge Secondary 1 Curriculum. The Secondary 1 Curriculum encompasses a variety of international learning standards for children 11-14. Our goal is to increase students ability to be independent life-long learners. The students engage in collaborative learning that encompasses technology. They learn to communicate their ideas confidently through written and oral expression as they find solutions to problems.
Students who successfully complete the Cambridge program at Westwood have been successful in pursuing advanced high school courses such as International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSCE) courses, Advanced Placement courses, and advanced high school diplomas such as the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
