The faculty and staff at Williams Elementary are committed to providing a well-rounded curriculum that meets the needs of all levels of learners. Our ELA and Math curricula are based on the B.E.S.T. Parent and student resources regarding the standards can be accessed at CPALMS.Reading: Benchmark Advance from Benchmark Education is the district-adopted curriculum that addresses the English Language Arts standards. English Language Arts includes reading, writing, language (vocabulary and spelling), speaking, and listening. UFLI Foundations (University of Florida Literacy Institute) is also used as the district-adopted curriculum for phonics instruction. During all ELA instruction, teachers differentiate to meet student needs through literacy workstations and small group instruction. Strong literacy skills are essential to all citizens living in the 21st Century.
