August 31, 2022 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, August 31st:
Panthers, please note there is no school on Monday (September 5th) as we observe Labor Day, the federal holiday established to celebrate the achievements of workers. Please enjoy the long weekend and stay safe!
FAST Testing concludes this week with 9th grade students testing tomorrow.
Panthers please remember ALL head coverings including hats and hoodies are not allowed to be worn on campus.
Representatives from the Air Force will be on the NHS Campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B. Make sure to stop by and speak with them if you have any interest in joining the military after high school.
If you are interested in Tabletop RPGs (Role Playing Games) like Dungeons and Dragons that you've seen in Stranger Things, the first DnD Club meeting will be in Ms. Phillips' Computer Lab 1 this Friday (September 2nd) after school at 3:00 pm with Ms. Phillips and Mr. Truesdell. We hope to see all you adventurers there!
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day throughout the summer for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something ( “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
