Alachua County serves approximately 13,000 elementary-aged students in its public schools!  English Language Arts includes reading, writing, language (vocabulary and spelling), speaking, and listening.  Strong literacy skills are essential to all citizens living in the 21st Century.  Our department works closely with all schools to provide them with the support and resources necessary to prepare our students to be successful now and into the future.
