Summer Series #4 "Travel and Explore"

🌞 NHS Summer Series 🌞
Tips and Information to Help You Navigate Summer!
Panthers, the fourth week of our 8-week series will focus on making time to “Travel and Explore”! You don’t have to travel far to have a meaningful experience. Maybe your family loves road trips, has a favorite vacation spot, or enjoys camping in National Parks. Whatever you do, travel is a great way to change your setting and have time to reflect. While you’re on a train, plane, or automobile, it’s also a great time to catch up on movies, podcasts, or reading. You can even take virtual tours of some of the world’s most famous places without leaving your home! Here are some travel and exploring ideas to get you started:
🐾 Check out study abroad opportunities
🐾 Spin a family trip into an extracurricular event, maybe take classes, learn a new skill, or volunteer
🐾 Tour some colleges now that you have the time, remember you can do this virtually too
🐾 Hike a trail or embark on another adventure you’ve always dreamed of doing
🐾 Visit the Louvre or other famous museums and galleries
🐾 The Kennedy Center has a digital library filled with clips of theater, dance, and music performances
🐾 Check out the animal cams at places like the San Diego Zoo or the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California
🐾 Google Arts & Culture has 360-degree virtual reality tours of places like Bryce Canyon, Kenai Fjords, the Grand Canyon, and Carlsbad Caverns
Information about these suggestions (and so much more) is available on the NHS website and particularly in the NHS Student Information Center (https://www.sbac.edu/domain/5439). Additionally, make sure to look back at the Tips and Information posted in prior weeks for more ideas.
