February 1, 2024 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Thursday, February 1st:
Seniors don’t forget to order your caps and gowns for graduation. Prices are expected to increase soon so don’t wait! Order forms are available in the NHS Front Office or online at www.HerffJones.com.
The cost of the NHS Yearbooks is now $65.00 and you can place your order at https://sites.google.com/gm.sbac.../nhsyearbook20232024/home.
The FCA will have a meeting tomorrow before school at 8:10 am in the NHS Gym. If you’d like to become involved, make sure to stop by!
The Miss NHS and Junior Miss NHS Pageant will be held on Friday (February 23rd). Any girl interested in participating can stop by the NHS Media Center to get an application.
Seniors, Prom will again be held at Granville in Newberry on Saturday (April 27th). There will be an early bird special on ticket prices, but you CAN NOT buy a ticket without submitting the required forms and getting cleared from the NHS Debt List. Forms are available in the NHS Front Office and Mr. Marlowe’s classroom. So make sure to plan ahead and get ready to have a wonderful, magical, and memorable evening!
Students, please remember that even though the cooler weather is returning this week, blankets are not allowed at school. Also, you must still follow all dress code policies, including not wearing pajamas, slippers, or any type of head coverings. If you have any questions, please see Dean Burford or Dean Yarn.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
