Learn more about your school, get connected with parents, earn service hours, and get involved in the process- join DELA Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Our mission is to create and execute FUNdraisers to support an educational environment which benefits the school and our children!

WHY JOIN THE PTO?

1) MAKE A DIFFERENCE: There have been hundreds of research studies on the positive effects of parent involvement in schools, and they all show the same thing; when parents are involved in their children’s education, good things happen. Grades go up -Test scores rise - Behavior improves- children with involved parents are more likely to go on to further their education after high school. When parents are active, they build a true “school community” and children thrive.

2) HAVE A VOICE: Being a PTO member means having a legislative active voice. The more members, the louder your voice will be to advocate for your children and our school. Membership provides a sense of community and keeps you involved in what is happening in our school. You can DIRECTLY be a part of creating, planning, and executing fun events for the whole family, become a greater part in your child’s learning experiences, and for providing critical needs identified by the Franklin Academy administration.

3) SERVICE HOURS: Joining the PTO DOES NOT mean you will have to volunteer all the time. Joining means you will have ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES to meet required service hours!
