Students featured below were honored during our Virtual Senior Awards Ceremony for their academic achievements. Descriptions for each award are listed here. 

• Some students have been chosen by teachers to receive recognition for their achievements in one or more of the following areas - English, Fine Arts & Electives, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages. 
• EHS recognizes the select group of our seniors who have been chosen by the National Merit Scholarship Program as National Merit Finalists because of their PSAT and SAT scores, as well as their consistently high academic performance in high school. Likewise, College Board has recognized the academic achievements of some of our Hispanic students in its annual selection of scholars in the National Hispanic Recognition for National Merit.
• We note the academic achievements of students who have earned 3.50 cumulative grade point averages and higher with special awards. They are selected based on the following criteria:
  • 4.0 Graduates - unweighted cumulative GPA of 4.0
  • Honors Graduates - unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.50-3.69; receiving a medal with an orange ribbon
  • High Honors Graduates - unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.70 - 3.84; receiving a medal with a green ribbon
  • Highest Honor Graduates - unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.85 - 4.0; receiving a medal with a white ribbon
  • Eastside Scholars - students who are graduating in the top 15% of their program - Culinary, International Baccalaureate (IB), or Major Program; receiving a large medal with a green and white ribbon
  • unnoted during our ceremony but worthy of special recognition are our Dual-Enrolled Scholars - students who enrolled in college courses while in high school and simultaneously attained their high school diploma and Associate of Arts degree.
• As a special recognition for this school year, Life South would like to thank and honor the seniors who have donated blood at least three to four times. The organization has awarded these students Cords of Courage.
