PERT Testing

  • The PERT test is used to determine college ready scores for Math, Reading, and Writing. This test is used by many 2 year colleges to determine level of coursework. Students seeking a Bright Future Gold Seal Scholarship may use PERT scores to meet the Gold Seal requirement. It is free to the students who take it in high school.

Please contact your guidance department for more information.

ACT/SAT/PSAT

  • The SAT is three hours and thirty-five-minute exam that measures skills in the areas of Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing. The scores are used for college admissions purposes because the test predicts readiness for college work.

The ACT is America's most widely accepted college entrance exam. It assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.

The PSAT/NMSQT exam provides students with a practice test in preparation for the SAT. It is also used in the selection of the top juniors in the country for the awarding of National Merit Scholarships.
