Mission Statement
-
The Abraham Lincoln Middle School Media Center’s mission is to provide an environment that encourages a love of reading and inspires all students to become lifelong learners who are effective users of information.
Students visiting our Media Center enjoy reading, learning information and research skills. Throughout the year, students can visit with their classes and as individuals with a pass from class. Students will use a variety of resources including print materials and computer labs that will assist in developing the habits of critical thinkers, active learners, skillful researchers, and creative problem solvers. Our library collection is expanded with the use of electronic databases such as World Book Web, Gale student resource databases and the Florida Electronic Library.
We engage our community in 21st-century lifelong learning that empowers students and prepares them for real-world experiences. Our technology and print resources support the curriculum and enhance the joy of finding something good to read.
All students and staff are welcome to visit the Media Center often. We're here to help you find the information you need for school work or anything else you're interested in.
The Media Center provides a wide variety of informative, educational, and technological resources and services which support and enhance the school's curriculum as well as student's interests. Computers and printers are available for research and individual student projects.

Enjoy the space & consider others. Our Library Media Center provides an area for testing, study, research, the morning news show, clubs and more. Please respect others when you are here by keeping your voice low, pushing in chairs and throwing away trash.
Our technology is for school-appropriate use only. Ask to print. Print only from a word document. Printing directly from the Internet wastes paper and ink.You may check out three books for two weeks. If you need to renew, please see Ms. Perdomo or Ms. Goll.To come to the Library Media Center, you need a pass and a plan. Come directly to the circulation desk and show us your pass. We will let you know where you may sit and/or work.We are here to help you!
