According to the Middle School Reform Act, promotion from middle school to high school requires that all students successfully pass the following academic courses with a minimum grade of a "D"

• Three middle school or higher courses in English (Language Arts)
• Three middle school or higher courses in Mathematics
• Three middle school or higher courses in Social Studies
• Three middle school or higher courses in Science

• Also, student must participate in one middle school course in Career Education
