Kindergarten has so much to offer. Children who attend full-day kindergarten do better in school and are more successful as adults. They learn important social and emotional skills that help them in and out of the classroom. Kindergarten sparks a child’s natural curiosity and love for learning. Most of all, kindergarten is FUN!

Being in kindergarten will give your child the chance to work and play with other children, to make new friends and learn how to get along with others. They’ll have access to enriching activities and programs, including arts, technology and sports. Most importantly, they’ll be nurtured by teachers and staff who are focused on their academic, physical and emotional growth.

If you held your child out of kindergarten last year or this year, or you just aren’t sure if your child is ready for school, don’t worry. Our schools will be providing targeted support for all children. And if your child is already the right age for first grade and can show they’re ready, they may even be able to enter first grade this year!
