• Project Fortify


    Did you know that Metcalfe Elementary School has a School Social Worker? Thanks to a three year grant from the Federal Government (Project Fortify), Alachua County Public Schools was able to place a full-time social worker at our school for this school year.

    The School Social Worker is available to help school families in need of resources, students with attendance problems, counsel with and provide resources for students with emotional issues and help support the school staff with students who have behavior problems or lack resources, thus removing barriers to student success.
