Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are free online courses available for anyone to enroll.
Many of the courses are offered through major corporations, colleges, and universities -- including Ivy League schools. You will also find a wide variety of international institutions.
There is no charge for these courses, unless you would like unlimited access and a certificate of completion sent to you upon conclusion of the course. If you choose to receive a completion certificate, this may be a nice addition to a college application or resumé.
-
Please note:
While these courses CAN NOT be used to earn high school credits, they can provide a way to learn new skills, college preparation, supplemental learning, and professional development.
