NHS Culinary Arts / ServSafe Club
-
The Newberry High School Culinary Arts / ServSafe Club helps current Culinary Arts students prepare for the ServSafe Certification exam, which is administered to students at no cost. Additionally, students in the Culinary Arts Club cater after school events. (ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the U.S. National Restaurant Association.) The Culinary Arts Club additionally stimulates, fosters and promotes student interest in the culinary arts. It is our desire to teach different cooking techniques, explore the professional food service industry, and most importantly provide students with a fun and creative outlet while developing leadership and cooperation skills.
