Parking:

The parking lot is located in the front of the school, off NW 144 St.  Please use the visitor or unused spaces in this lot, so you may check in with the front office on your way into the school.  Please do not park in the parent pick-up lane, as this needs to be cleared for emergency vehicles and for cars that have a driver waiting for a student. 

Picking up:

In order to keep children safe and to keep drop-off and pick-up as efficient as possible, our school has adopted the following protocols. We ask that all caregivers review and follow the protocols in order to contribute to our safe school culture and demonstrate consideration and respect for all.  At the end of the day, the children are watching. Please remember you are modeling for them the necessity of following school rules and showing respect for all.

Pick-up should occur only from the front lot on NW 140th Steet in the parent pick-up lane. Picking up in the back bus drop off lot (W State Rd 235) is strictly prohibited, as it is a major safety concern as trucks and busses use this entrance.

Drivers must remain in their vehicles while parked in the pick-up line during prime pick-up time.   While in line, please pull all the way to the front until traffic is stopped.  During busy times (at the end of the day, students are asked to wait until 4 cars are stopped in front of the school before leaving the sidewalk to enter the car).  Once those are filled, those cars will pull forward and others will pull to the stopping point.  

If parents are picking up students during school hours and have to check the student out first, the parent should park in the parking lot and come inside to check out the student.  Only adults on the emergency cards are allowed to check out students.  Please ensure your emergency cards are up to date for this reason.

Picking Up Children From School Early:

Children are not released directly from the classroom to leave school before dismissal times. You MUST come to the office first and sign out your child. Your child will be sent for and released to you.  

Dropping off:

In order to keep children safe and to keep drop-off as efficient as possible, our school has adopted these protocols.

Drivers must remain in their vehicles while parked in the drop-off line during prime drop off times. This line is to be used for drop off, starting at 7:20 am.

Children should have their things gathered and be ready to unload as soon as the car is against the curb.  Please wait for the child to step to the sidewalk before pulling away and watch for other students exiting cars or crossing the parking lot toward the school.

Whenever traffic in this line is completely backed up to behind the first crosswalk those against the curb should unload there.  For the safety of all our children, there is no second lane in the drop off area.
