School History
Kimball Wiles Elementary School was built in 1983. The school is named after the late Kimball Wiles (1913-1968), a former Dean at the College of Education. During his relatively short career, he served as a consultant to more than 300 school systems in 41 states, and the books he wrote had a widespread effect on education everywhere. Kimball Wiles was an inspiring teacher and a tireless worker who devoted his boundless energy to the profession of educating children.
We, the students, parents and faculty of Kimball Wiles Elementary School, are proud to have our school named for a man who has had such a profound influence on education and children everywhere.
