Promotion Requirements

Promotion from middle school to high school requires that all students successfully complete the following courses:

Three (3) middle school or higher courses in English/Language Arts

Three (3) middle school or higher courses in Mathematics

Three (3) middle school or higher courses in Social Studies, which now includes Civics in 7^th grade

Three (3) middle school or higher courses in Science

One (1) semester-long course in Career and Education Planning, to be taught in 8^th grade
