Open Enrollment for 2024 Health Care and Supplemental Benefits
OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR 2024 BENEFITS OPENS OCTOBER 1ST!
The open enrollment period (October 1 - October 25, 2023) is an opportunity for ACTIVE, benefit-eligible employees# to
- Enroll in, change, or drop Medical coverage
- Enroll or drop eligible dependents under the age of 26*
- Enroll in voluntary plans such as Dental, Vision, Group Accident, Critical Illness, Long-term Disability, Supplemental Life Insurance, or the NEW BENEFIT for your pets!
Changes made during Open Enrollment become effective on January 1, 2024.
*Eligible dependents will be covered through December 31st for ages 0-26 for Health Insurance, and for ages 0-25 for Life, Dental, and Vision. Eligibility documents required. See page 1 in the Employee Benefits Guide for detailed information about Dependent Eligibility.
This is a passive open enrollment - MOST* benefits will rollover if you do not log into PlanSource and make changes.
*FSA participation requires re-enrollment annually. If you do not enroll during open enrollment, you will not participate for the 2024 plan year.
Watch your email for detailed information and instructions.
It is strongly recommended that you print your benefits confirmation statement from PlanSource during Open Enrollment. Employees are responsible to review payroll deductions in December & January to ensure payroll accuracy and confirm enrollment. Discrepancies must be reported to the Benefits office no later than January 31, 2024. Corrections cannot be made after February 1, 2024.
#Employees on leave will not have access to PlanSource during the Open Enrollment window. You will complete Open Enrollment with the Benefits Office upon returning to work.

Life Events - Mid-year changes to your benefits
Except as otherwise provided by law and as stated in the Eligibility Requirements of the Employee Benefits Guide (page 1), you cannot change your pre-tax benefits during the plan year unless you experience a qualifying life event. Any proposed benefit change must correspond with, and be due to, the type of life event you experience.
Examples of a qualifying event are: marriage, divorce, birth, adoption, etc.
All mid-year changes (Life Events) must be reported and completed via PlanSource within 30 days of the date of the event, which includes uploading all required documentation.
