  • One Mill and the Arts

    Thanks to One Mill funds, Alachua County students have access to a robust arts program, including music, visual and performing arts.

    Research has shown that what students learn in the arts may help them master other subjects, such as reading, math or social studies.

    Students who participate in arts learning experiences often improve their achievement in other realms of learning and life.

  • One Mill and Academic and Career Magnet Programs

    Alachua County Public Schools offers close to 30 innovative academic magnet programs and career academies tailored to students' unique interests and goals. These programs provide rigorous coursework and hands-on learning in science, engineering, the arts, business, and more, empowering students to pursue their passions and achieve their potential.

    In addition to the Career Tech Academies, the One Mill supports career tech programs and courses throughout the district, including the Barbering and Medical Skills programs at Eastside High, robotics and other technology-related courses across the district and more.

    Alachua County Public School middle and high school students earned 4,300+ career certifications in 2022-23!
