When do I register my child for the following Fall?

In May, registration for the following school year begins with Kindergarten Round Up. Incoming kindergarteners register first.  Currently, enrolled students are accepted next.  Open enrollment for students not yet attending EDEP is available in May.  We continue to accept registrations as space permits.

How do I register my child?

Registration is complete, and a child has a confirmed spot when a completed registration card and a $25 fee (per student) has been submitted to the on-site coordinator.

Should I register my child every year?

A new registration must be completed each school year.  Returning students are also required to register each school year.

If the program is full, is there a waiting list?

If an EDEP program reaches full capacity, you may be placed on a waiting list.  Please be sure to update your phone number, address and email so the on-site coordinator may reach you when space becomes available.  Just as registration begins anew each year, the waiting lists also begin anew each school year.

What kinds of activities do the programs do?

Some examples include Cooking lessons, track and field, gardening, emerging engineering, digital technology, drama, computer skills, sports, foreign language, Girl Scouting, 4H clubs, astronomy and chess.

How do I pay my child's EDEP fees?

The registration fee must be paid by cash, check or money order.  The EDEP coordinator at your school can only accept payments for weekly fees made by cash, check or money order.  However, weekly fees can be paid by credit card, debit card or bank transfer through the parent app.

What happens if I have a check returned due to insufficient funds?

Envision Payment Solutions, is our collection agency.  We use Envision Payment Solutions to electronically represent returned checks.  Should you have any questions regarding the electronic process you may visit their website at customerservice@envisionpayments.com.  You may also call 877.290.5460 or 770.709.3100.

    Is homework help available?

We offer assistance-based homework time every day except Friday.  Please visit our homework success section for more information about how EDEP can help your child with homework.

Who will be working with my child?

Our activity leaders are required to have a 4-year degree or equivalent experience.  Our staff to student ratio is 1:18, and in accordance with the Jessica Lunsford Act,  all employees are drug tested and fingerprinted.  EDEP also maintains a rigorous training program to keep staff updated with promising practices and quality enrichment opportunities.  Just like teachers, activity leaders submit lessons plans that adhere to FloridaSunshineState Standards. Children may choose the activities and the activity leaders they wish to be with.
