Personal Property at School
-
Individual students, their belongings, vehicles and lockers may be searched if there is a reasonable suspicion that the student is in possession of weapons, drugs or other prohibited items.
Students should not bring unnecessary, valuable personal items to school. Students are responsible for safeguarding their personal property. The District is not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen or damaged while at school or a school-sponsored activity. If a Board employee confiscates a student’s personal property as a result of the student’s violation of the CSC or Board policy, the student’s property will be placed in a locked location until a parent retrieves the item in person.
